The MAP Business Journal is a research-based journal within management forms, management tools, information systems and implementation methods, with focus on Performance Management and Management Accounting.

 

The journal covers a European (Denmark, Benelux) profile within professional management and knowledge dissemination and is aimed for students, professors, top executives and decision makers in both the public sector and in private companies. With the aim of creating a collaborative environment between students, business people, professors and researchers at business schools within PM & MA.

 

The journal is published in an electronic version in English, via the internet in cooperation with selected business schools.


Combined with activities as e.g. webinars to create a professional network, giving the readers the opportunity to meet experts and colleagues and vice versa, to discuss the topics and their development.

To create a research-based business journal and enviroment that through collaboration between researchers, business schools and business, serves as a news-communicating and integrative communication platform and medium between the field’s knowledge producers, knowledge disseminators, knowledge buyers and knowledge users. Communicating research results from the field of Management Accounting and Performance Management.


Striving to present the most important development trends in MA and PM from both theory and practice, contributing to the development and streamlining of an open communicating network.

“Setting the standard for knowledge dissemination within MA and PM in a close interaction with different players, interests, languages and expectations”


To constantly develop, translate and disseminate current knowledge of management concepts, management technologies and application experiences for practical use in a close interaction between widely different players with conflicting interests, languages ​​and expectations with in the area of MA and PM.


This requires an open and intensive dialogue. And the journal should be an interactive communication medium that creates critical debate, exchange of experience and development energy in professional networks with the areas of Management Accounting and Performance Management. This can only succeed if the knowledge and values ​​of the actors are exhibited and confronted, not only in writing, but also in speech.


The vision is to constantly set new standards for knowledge dissemination in the areas of MA and PM, that leads to dialogue, debate and cooperation outside the journal’s columns, ie. among professors and students at business schools, organizations and companies as well as at conferences and seminars etc.


The journal should be leading the debate in MA and PM in Europe, not only by written articles, but also by creating and holding conferences, seminars and debate meetings, in order to create knowledge dissemination within MA and PM listening, responding and exchange knowledge in the surrounding forums, being respectful to individual motivational drivers and without the hindrance of culturally related barriers.

The journal are having a review system, which consists of reviewing, criticizing, commenting and approving articles by recognized competent professionals before they are published.


This kind of quality stamp is a “must” for good well-written articles to be assigned to academic importance. When researchers need to qualify in the research world, greater emphasis is placed on the fact that their written work is scientifically approved. When it comes to academic articles, the requirement is that the content has gone through a professional review in a recognized journal.


As this journal are interested in getting the best professionals to write, it is important that it can offer the authors, that they can get a recognized stamp of quality. If this is not possible, the authors might submit their articles to other professional journals.
